Lovecraft Film Festival. It was here that the idea for Music From a Dark Age was born. Composer Troy Sterling Nies (The Whisperer in the Darkness) was talking with compatriot Reber Clark (The Case of Charles Dexter Ward) about a collaborative music project and soon this concept absorbed the room, pulling into its gravitational vortex fellow composers: Mars Homeworld (Lovecraft: Fear of the Unknown) and Will Severin (The Thing on the Doorstep). While all four composers had scored Lovecraft related films and projects before, they imagined Music From A New Dark Age to be something new, a project where composers with different styles interpret Lovecraft\u0026rsquo;s writings through the language of music and sound.
