Bali, in the South Seas, is famous for its jewelry and its temples. We suspect that the origins of this particular Cthulhu design are tied to both. The temples in Bali derive their orientation from the mountains and the sea, the direction toward the sea being called "kelod". Coincidence, that the pendant this shirt is based on looks like something that would be found in a Balinese temple, or around the neck of a sea worshipper? We think not!
