H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival®

The H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival® and CthulhuCon (official web site) has been a Portland institution for over two decades. Founded in 1995 by Andrew Migliore, the festival was created to encourage more faithful filmic adaptations of Lovecraft's work. Now, almost 25 years later, the festival has become such a mainstay of cosmic horror gatherings, there is now also a Providence, RI edition during Lovecraft's birthday weekend in August. In addition to the latest independent feature films and shorts, as well as retrospective showings from Lovecraftian cinema through the ages, the festival also includes readings by current Cthulhu Mythos and Weird fiction authors, panel discussions about comics, music, filmmaking, and more. The annual Portland festival takes place the first full weekend of October. Check the official H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival and CthulhuCon Web site for details on upcoming events! Whether or not you've been to the festival, this is the official outlet for all HPL Film Festival & CthulhuCon merchandise. Please note that many of these items are of a limited nature, so not all sizes/varieties may be available, and often once they're gone, they're gone.
